A: For gorilla or chimpanzee trekking (which require permits), we recommend booking at least 3 months in advance. For general safaris, 4–6 weeks in advance is ideal.
Weather & Seasons
A:
Uganda, Rwanda: June–September & December–February (dry season – best for gorilla trekking)
Kenya, Tanzania: June–October (for game viewing), January–February (less crowded)
Zanzibar: June–October (cooler, dry), December–February (hot and dry)
A: Rain may occur even in the dry season, especially in forested areas like Bwindi or Nyungwe. But safaris run year-round, and rainy periods bring lush landscapes and fewer crowds.
A:
Dry season: Light, breathable clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen
Rainy season: Waterproof jackets, hiking shoes, layered clothing
Mornings can be chilly, especially in mountainous regions like Bwindi or Ngorongoro.
A: Yes, it’s safe. Roads may be muddy in rural areas, but our vehicles are 4×4 and fully equipped. Expect shorter travel times and lush greenery — great for photography!
